Cameras that think

Videolytical gives the cameras you already own a trained eye. They spot intruders, read number plates, catch unattended bags and alert your control room the moment it matters.

Built for smart cities and traffic, defence and paramilitary, airports and transport, retail and malls, industrial and warehousing.

Control room video wall A video wall of six screens showing a monitoring dashboard and grids of camera views, mounted above a wooden cabinet.

What the platform does

One software stack does three jobs, from the camera to the control room.

Manage cameras and video
Operators watch, record and replay cameras in VMS Enterprise, the video management software (VMS). Control rooms add Command and Control for video walls, a map view and alert escalation. See the product suite.
Understand what the cameras see
Purpose-trained deep-learning models detect events such as intrusion, abandoned objects, missing protective equipment and traffic violations. Detections become structured metadata and real-time alerts. See the solutions.
Deploy where the site needs it
The same software runs on the camera or an edge box, on GPU servers inside your own network, or in the cloud. The options can be mixed in one estate. See the platform and architecture.

The product suite

Five products that work alone or together on one platform.

VMS Enterprise

Video management software. Live view, event recording and playback, with cameras organised into groups and views.

AI Video Analytics

Deep-learning models that detect events in live and recorded video and send real-time alerts.

Face Recognition

Face detection and real-time matching against staff, VIP or watchlist databases, on existing CCTV.

Command and Control

Multi-monitor video walls, a map view of cameras and alerts, escalation workflows and audit trails.

How the products fit together, with deployment options, integration and security.

What the analytics see

Frames of camera video with the detections drawn on them by the analytics.

Overhead camera view of a terminal hall. A red box marks a suitcase left alone in the queue area.

A bag left alone in a terminal

The object detection module marks a suitcase left alone in a queue area. The words drawn on the frame show the abandoned-bag alert.

Highway camera view of a motorcycle carrying two people. A green box marks the rider's face under the on-screen label "Not Wearing Helmet".

A rider without a helmet

Helmet detection flags a motorcycle rider on a city highway. The same module also covers triple riding and wrong-way driving, which this frame does not show.

Overhead factory camera view of a vehicle chassis assembly line. Orange boxes mark the bare hands of two workers, each labelled "NO-Gloves".

Missing gloves on an assembly line

The personal protective equipment (PPE) module marks the bare hands of two workers. Only the gloves check is shown here. The module also covers hard hats, vests and masks.

Night camera view of a loading dock. A person carrying a sack is marked with a red box beside a white counting line, with on-screen counters reading "in" and "out".

Counting in and out at a loading dock

A counting line is drawn across a loading dock at night. Crossings of the line are counted as in or out.

Where the software is used

One platform, tuned for each sector.

  • Traffic enforcement

    Smart cities and traffic

Helmet and traffic violation detection with number-plate evidence for traffic police, and public-area surveillance for safe-city programmes.

  • Command and control

    Defence and paramilitary

Perimeter intrusion detection and multi-screen control rooms with map correlation, on air-gapped networks.

  • Terminal operations

    Airports and transport

Unattended-baggage alerts and crowd monitoring for airports, railway stations and bus depots.

  • Store analytics

    Retail and malls

Heatmaps, dwell time and people counting from the cameras a store already has, with queue-length alerts at billing counters.

  • Workplace safety

    Industrial and warehousing

Protective equipment checks and danger-zone alerts on shop floors, with in and out counting at docks and gates.

One console for an airport terminal

An anonymised case study. Customer names and site details are confidential.

VMS console, luggage alert pop-up Videolytical video management software window. A camera group tree is on the left, and a pop-up titled "Alert-Luggage Detected" shows a suitcase marked with a red box in a baggage screening area.
Example product screen. Camera groups are listed on the left and a luggage alert is open in a pop-up window.

A busy Indian airport terminal wanted one console for cameras across aerobridges, check-in, arrivals and airside corridors.

Camera views
Cameras grouped into logical views that follow the areas of the terminal
Analytics
Unattended-baggage and crowd analytics, running on server GPUs
Alerts

From requirement to running deployment

How a project runs, step by step. Optimisation continues after handover.

  1. Understanding requirements

We work with your team to map the security and analytics needs of the site.

  2. Strategic planning

Architects plan an edge, on-premise or cloud layout that fits your existing infrastructure.

  3. AI model design

Models are selected or trained for your events, metadata and alert rules.

  4. Implementation and integration

The system is deployed with partners, calibrated and connected to the command centre.

  5. Testing and optimisation

Accuracy, performance and reliability are tested, then tuned in the field.
